I’m knitting a dragon, which will have spikes along the spine, which I’d like to make with a picot edge - is it possible to pick up stitches along the spine then maybe work a row or two before doing the picot (I want the spikes close to the body rather than a punk Mohawk type look lol) then stitch down the cast off edge on the other side?
Yes, you can do that. I’ve picked up sts along a knit surface and it works quite well. You should be able to tack down the cast off on the other side without any problem.
