Pick up and Knit on a Curved Neckline - help please.

Hi

I need to pick up and knit on every row of the neckline. The curve is created by dec. neck edge on next 4 rows then at neck edge on alternate rows 3 times, then 3 rows in pattern (no decreasing). CO

I’ve posted a pick if anyone could be kind enough to mark up the picture to show where the needle point needs to go. I’m unsure about whether splitting stitches is half is acceptable.

Many thanks ih advance, I’ve always recieved good advice and support from this group.

Does your pattern say how many stitches or only every row?

It will be the highest V you enter the centre in each case, not the bind off V which is laying down but the highest column V.

Usually this doesn’t have to be exact and yet it works out. You could pick up in the marked sts (blue) and if you need to pick up more than that number then pick up in the blue and red sts.

One thing that makes this easier in the future is to work the decreases one stitch in from the edge.
