Personalized Label

I am knitting a Shannon Afghan for a wedding present. I am looking for a place on line that I can order a personalized label to sew onto the blanket when it’s done. I would love to be able to put the newly married couple’s names and the wedding date on this blanket. I have done a little research on line but haven’t found any place that will let me make up my own label.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think this may be what you are looking for. Hope this helps! http://www.grumperina.com/labelcontent.htm

Get one of the permanent marking pens that quilters use for making labels and write your message on ribbon or a hemmed square of fabric.

Here’s one source:

I have used these ppl twice now…I know you don’t need alot of labels…but they do make ribbon which could work

Thanks to all of you. They are all really good ideas. I’ll let you know how it works out.

What if you went to a monogramming shop and had a piece of fabric monogrammed and then sewed it on??? It would look really professional and very pretty! It’s not too expensive either, shouldn’t be more than a few bucks???

Hi,
I was involved in a thread about a year ago (you can search for the previous threads by searching under “labels”) where we were talking about different places to get labels. Check it out to see the other websites people had listed for more ideas.

My mother had gotten me labels to put in my handknit and crocheted items. You can see if they still have them on the Miles Kimball website.

Good luck!
