Pattern

Hi folks, my name is Dempumza… I’m stuck on a project I’m working on- an 18mth baby girl jersey. The body is knitted in a flat using circular needles (without joining) and the work is left there. The arms are done with straight knitting needles. Now for the yoke, it says 1sr row: (RS) K31 Right Front) from Body. K50 from Sleeve. K58 (Back) from Body. K50 from Sleeve. K31 (Left Front) from Body. 220 sts. Does this mean I will be continuing with the work that was left on the circular needles, joining the arms in the course of the yoke pattern which runs along the inner side of the arm hole in front and shoulder blade at the back? Can anyone explain this please? I’m sooo confused.

Welcome to the forum!
Yes, the sleeves will go in place, possibly over an underarm bind off in the body. You’ll be knitting the yoke over the front, sleeve, back, sleeve and the other front.

What is the name of your pattern?

Thank you so much. I’ll try this. The pattern is from Yarnspirations. Its called BERNATDipped Detail Knit Cardigan. That’s what I se at the top.

Very sweet! Yes, just knit the stitch numbers given for your size. There’s no underarm bind off on the body. The first couple of rows may be a little tight near the sleeve-body joins but after that it’ll be fine.
We’d love to see a photo when you finish.

Oh this is such a relief to know there’s someone out there keeping track of my progress. Yes that’s exactly the project I’m working on. Thanks so much. I’ll certainly share the pic when I’m done.
