Pattern Translation

I was wondering if someone could help me translate a pattern to English? (Do I need to ask permission from the designer?) The pattern is on Ravelry, here is the link:

I love this pattern but I can’t understand what it says. I greatly appreciate all the help I can get!!!

Thank you
Terrie :knitting:

In order to have the entire pattern translated and written in English, you would need permission in order to avoid copyright issues.

As this pattern is free on Ravelry, I would

  1. Write the desgner to see if she has the pattern in English, or can translate it for you (for a fee). Bonus to her, she could then sell the translation on Ravelry.
  2. Use an online translator/website like this one to translate what you can.
  3. Use this Ravelry forum to get help with specific lines, one at a time.
  4. Wing it! It’s a simple stockinette sock with YOs, so find a stockinette pattern you like and modify it with this motif. A chart is provided in the pattern, which essentially indicates all you have to do is a k2tog, YO on one row, followed by an offset YO, SSK on the next row.
