Pattern terminology help

Hello! I’m very new to knitting and am trying to figure out these directions. First it says knit 10 rows - ok I got that. Then it says knit 3 sets in stockinette stitch. I know what stockinette means but what does 3 sets mean?

Thank you!

Unfortunately, it means pretty much what your pattern says it means. Have you read through the pattern completely? Sometimes such things are included in a Stitch Key or Terminology section. Take a look through the entire pattern and see if you can find anything that explains what they mean by “sets”.

Also, if you have a link to your pattern, someone might be able to look it over for you on line and figure it out for you.

But whatever you do, don’t give up!

That helps thank you!

With that info I info I’d say it wants you to knit 6 rows: with 1 row of knit and 1 row of purl equaling 1 set.
