I haven’t been here for a very long time…I’m hoping someone can help me. I’m knitting the opulent neutral throw by Lion Brand.
Pattern 1 is a multiple of 16 + 1 sts
What does that have to do with my cast on sts??
It’s not working out very well…
Instructions say to cast on 97 sts

It means that the stitch pattern is repeated over 16 sts plus you need one at the end. On 97 sts, it’ll be repeated 6 times; 16 x 6 = 96 + 1 = 97
