Pattern problem

I was trying to do this pattern, then I started the braid cable, when I do it, it messes up the ribbing. The pattern says to continue th ribbing while doing the cable, but I end up knitting the purls and purling the knits! HELP!!

I can’t get the link to work, but just knit the ribbing the way it will look right.
