Help please I’m confused have pattern that says
47 stitches
Dec 1st at each end of next and 5 foll 4th rows then on follow 6 alt rows (23 sts) done several ways but can’t get the right amount stitches left

Call the next row, row 1. Decrease at each end of rows 1, 5,9,13,17 and 21. Then decrease on rows 23,25,27,29,31 and 33. That’ll be 24sts decreased.
