Pattern interpretation question

Hi there,

Can anyone tell me if the following means increase ONE ONLY (and if so; which increase method should I use) ?

k1 p1 4 times, k1[k2 p2 INC p2 k3*p1 k1 * 4 times] three times.

Is that only one increase? :??

Increase between those two p2’s for the repeats. I’d do a M1 increase sine it want’s it to be between the stitches.
