Pattern instruction clarifcation

EDIT: heard back from Expression Fiber Arts and they say that 166 is the correct total stitch count for the final row
Thank you to all who responded to confirm I was interpreting correctly.

I am working the etude no. 6 shawl pattern from Expression Fiber Arts and am starting the final garter border.
I started with 158 stitches after finishing a section of stockinette as stated in the pattern. I am supposed to work rows 1 & 2 a total of 8 times. Row 1 has an increase, if I do this increase 8 times I will have more than 160 stitches.
I believe that 160 is a typo.
Am I interpreting the pattern correctly.?

I have emailed the company but I think you all will answer sooner.[quote=“Pawsable, post:1, topic:161898, full:true”]

Chandi is usually pretty good about responding to queries, so you might get an answer from her today. But I agree. You’ll have 166 stitches.

Thank you.

Looks like a typo to me. I’d continue with the increases regardless of stitch count to maintain the pattern. If you look at this project it appears to me that it is what was done on this one.

Did it mean 3 on each edge and 160 stitches?

Thank you.
I did check the pictures and am sure I have it right. I looked for corrections or any comments or reviews that mentioned a discrepancy. When I didn’t find anything I emailed the company for clarification. Not expecting a response right away I decided to get an opinion from the forum.
I have since heard back from EFA and they also say the stitch count should be 166 on the final row.

That would have yielded the correct total if that wording had been included.
