Pattern help

Hi everyone,

I’m doing this shrug:
http://web.archive.org/web/20100929224912/http://www.oneskeinwonders.com/patterns/shrug.php

I don’t understand this section:
Finishing the Sleeves
Continue as established for 3 rows, but work sleeve stitches (stitches between the two sets of markers) in K1, P1 rib.
Row 4 (remove markers as you come to them on this row): Slip 1, K2, purl to 1 stitch before marker, bind off in purl this stitch, 32 sleeve stitches, and 1 stitch after marker; purl back stitches to 1 stitch before marker, bind off in purl this stitch, 32 sleeve stitches, and 1 stitch after marker; purl to last 3 stitches, K3.

Can someone word this a bit differently? Clearer?

Thanks,
Tamar

You should Slip 1, K2, purl to 1 stitch before marker, purl one, remove the marker, purl one more stitch and then begin lifting the second stitch on the right needle over the first stitch. Repeat the bind off including the stitch immediately after the next marker. Purl the back stitches to 1 stitch before marker, begin bind off in purl including the sleeve sts and also including the stitch after the next marker. Purl to last 3 stitches, K3.

Thank you salmonmac,

I have continued pass the sleeves and intended to add a nice seed stitch boarder to them but my daughter wants me to leave them in stockinet stitch so that they curl up. (Pictures in link below)

So, when I finish the bottom of the shrug I will go back and just bind off the sleeve stitches as they are.:muah:
