I need a little help on spacing out the stitch markers on this pattern. I am on round 5 and am unsure on how many stitches I need between each marker. Please help link to the pattern is below.
Thank you

It looks like you should only mark that one stitch–tie a little piece of yarn on it–rather than placing stitch markers on the needles.
If you look at round 7 and 9 it seems like there should be more markers and you increase by 8 stitches each round. This is why I’m confused
That marked stitch represents the beginning of the rounds, I believe. You keep increasing, but always come back to that row where the marked stitch is.
5th rnd:
*K1 (place marker on last st). yo.
K3. yo. Rep from * around. 24 sts.
Place marker is within the repeat.
I found it but haven’t had enough coffee to think it through yet.

On the 3rd round you have 16 sts. On round 5 you place a marker on the indicated K stitch in each repeat. That’ll be 4 markers total with 6sts between the markers for a total of 24sts by the end of round 5. On round7, you have a yo after the first marked stitch and then at the end of the repeat. Basically, you’ll end the round with yarn overs before and after each marked stitch for a total increase of 8sts. That’s the increase pattern that you’ll keep repeating on subsequent rounds (8sts increased each increase round).
ETA The pattern on round 7 doesn’t make complete sense to me (seems like a few extra yo’s) but the projects on Ravelryclearly show only the yarn overs on either side of the marked stitch.
Thank you everyone. I figured it out.
