Pattern help

Hi all,

I am knitting some baby booties and the pattern I am using has me totally foxed!

this is what it says:
“This section is the top of the bootie.
k15, p2, k4, p2, k1, leave remaining sts unworked.
Slip all sts with yarn in front:
Row 1: Sl 1 from left to right needle, turn, p2, k2, p4, k2, p1”

So far I have completed the sole and side of the bootie and this section is a cable up the front of the bootie. Can anyone help decipher this for me?

I have 38 stitches at present - I can provide more info if needed.

The ‘slip all sts’ part doesn’t mean to slip the rest of sts, just that when you do the Sl 1 on the next stitch it should be done with the yarn to the front.

You’re going to do short rows that don’t go all the way across and when you slip the next st and turn, that wraps the yarn around the slip st, then you finish the row. They should have put the Sl 1 at the end, then Turn, and then called it Row 1, but they didn’t. Would be a little less confusing.
