Pattern Help

I’m starting a new pattern for a scarf made of 3 triangles that are sewn together. I’ve come up against a few things in the pattern that I don’t understand. Could someone please walk me through this first Triangle…then I think I can pick it up from there

CO 16 sts
Row 1: K1-f/b, k1, turn; slip1, knit to end of row.
Row 2: K1-f/b. k3. turn; pm, slip 1, knit to end of row.
Row 3: K1-f/b, knit to marker, remove marker, K1, turn; pm, slip 1, knit to end of row.
Repeat row 3 until all sts have been worked - 31 sts.
Knit 1 row, turn

Essentiall, I can read the pattern…I’m just not sure what everything means…like Knit 1 front/back…what does that mean?
Also turn?

As detailed of a walk through as possible would be very appreciated…thank you!!

You are working short rows to form the triangle; and knit1f&b means "knit one front and back) - it’s an increase stitch.

turn means turn the work, as if you had finished the row.

Thanks so much for your help. I found this great youtube video that illustrates how to K f/b

Thanks!

I am working on the same pattern, only I am having some trouble with the second triangle.

The pattern for the second triangle are:
Row 1: K1-f/b, skp, turn; slip 1, knit to end of row
Row 2: K1-f/b, k1, pm, skp, slip 1, knit to end of row
Row 3: K1-f/b, knit to marker, skp, turn *, slip 1, knit to end of row
Repeat Row 3 until all sts have been worked, ending last row at * – 31 sts.
Continue making triangles by repeating instructions for Second Triangle a total of eight times or to desired length.
So my question is, if I am repeating Row 3 until all sts have been worked, when and where do I pm so I can knit to the marker?

Or do I just repeat the following: K1-f/b, skp, turn, slip 1, knit to end of row?

Thank you!!

The marker was placed on Row 2 - K1-f/b, k1, pm, skp, slip 1, knit to end of row

oh! I’m not suppose to taken the marker out, ok! thanks for the help!

No when you put a marker on your needle, it travels with your needle through your rows of knitting.

This triangle isn’t like the first triangle. On this one, the marker stays on the needle, you slip the marker, skp and turn.
I wonder if there’s a turn missing from the directions for row2?
Row 2: K1-f/b, k1, pm, skp, turn, slip 1, knit to end of row
