I’m a newish knitter and wanted some clarification on this part of my pattern.
For reference, I’m at 107 stitches.
This is a two-row stitch pattern:
Row 1 (RS): K1, *P1, K1, rep from * to end.
3 Row 2: P1, *K1, P1, rep from * to end.
These 2 rows form the rib.
Pattern says:
Decrease 1 st at each end of the 2nd and following 8th row, then on the following alternate 6th row. 101 sts.
My confusion is this. The wording “following 8th row”. Is this the 10th row (if starting at 1)? And what does the “following alternate 6th row” mean?
Thank you!
