Pattern Help

Hello,
I’m having trouble with a new project. I just started knitting this plush cardinal -

At the end of the tail, you set up to work in the round. I can’t seem to figure out how to work in the round when my stitches are divided, and my yarn is at the bottom instead of at the top to start.
If anyone can help, I’d greatly appreciate it.

I’m not sure I understand what you mean by top and bottom. You’ve just finished a ws row and turned, and the yarn is attached to the first stitch on the left hand needle. Slip the sts as directed to two needles. The yarn is still at stitch one on the first needle. Work across all 6sts on the first needle (back of bird), then switch to the second needle and work across all 5 sts (front of bird).
