Update: embroidery completed. I like the sweater with the extra detail, though it works ok without, if you wanted a plainer finish (with less work!).

Your sweater should be a model on the Ravelry pattern page. It’s perfect and worth the work including the lovely finishing.

When I first started reading this thread, I couldn’t imagine what kind of embroidery would work with this patched effect. But this is brilliant! Well done!

Thanks for the feedback. I knitted this jumper for myself, as a more challenging project to keep me engaged and busy. I do like the end result, though the yarn has knitted up to be a bit more scratchy than I’d like, so shall probably need to wear a t-shirt underneath.
