Hi there.
Im knitting my first blanket.
The instructions go like this for a row;
Row 9: [K1, p1] 3 times, * K1, yo, k4, dec2, k4, yo; repeat
When it comes to the end with the " yo" do i just knit one with yarn over and then go back to k1, p1?
Hi there.
Im knitting my first blanket.

Just to be sure, the yo doesn’t require a knit one before doing the yarn over. For the yo, move the yarn to the front between the needles and then to the back over the right needle.
So for your pattern …K1, yo, k4, dec2, k4 yo and then repeat from the asterisk, k1, yo, k4 etc.
Row 9: [K1, p1] 3 times, * K1, yo, k4, dec2, k4, yo; repeat
I’m sorry im still a bit confused…
Ok, the row starts with the (k1, p1) 3 times and then begins the repeat *k1, yo, k4, dec2, k4, yo.
So written out with 2 repeats it would be:
(k1, p1) 3 times, k1, yo, k4, dec2, k4, yo, k1, yo, k4, dec2, k4, yo,

Repeat the underlined portion as often as you need to finish all the sts on the row.
Can you give us a link to the blanket pattern or a pattern name?
Ohh ok.
The yarn over at the end was really confusing me lol
this is the link to the blanket
Great. What a darling blanket! Thanks very much for the link and enjoy knitting it.
Isn’t it!? Im hoping to get it done in time and make it properly.
Thank younso much for your help!
Yarn over just means to bring the yarn in front. Your next stitch will really make the yarn over but it is not included as part of the yarn over.
So if the pattern says: yo, k3. You will have 4 stitches on the needle after the 3 stitches are completed.
