Pattern help please!

I’m doing my first toe up sock and the directions for the gusset are not clear to me:

[I]Next Round: Work in patt to end of Needle 2; k1, m1, k to end of Needle 3; k to last st of needle 4, m1, k1. 2 stitches increased.[/I]

Am in making 1 on the ends needles 2 & 4 or the beginning of needle 3 and the end of needle 4. Or something else altogether that I’m just not getting??

It sounds as though you’re just increasing one on the beginning of needle 3 and the end of needle 4. There’s only 2 sts increased.
