Hi I,m late to the party and just knitting my first Tincan knits love note sweater. Top down and bottom up sweaters were my challenge for this year so far I have managed a bottom up vest and a top down basic raglan sweater . The love note is my first lace yoke pattern . For the raglan increases the pattern states M1 at the raglan increases … in the abbreviations its list M1 in your preferred method.
In my top down raglan it stated m1 left or m1 right the love note just states m1
My question in the love note do I need to m1 left m1 right and if so do the increases correspond with the sleeves … so m1 left for left fir left sleeve . Hope this makes sense. Thank you
I just try to be consistent around the yoke. M1 left before the marker and M1 right after the marker around the yoke. Or you can work the reverse, M1 right before the marker, M1 left after. As long as you are consitent, it’ll work.
Try it out on a swatch and see which way you prefer.

What a beautiful pattern! I typically use mirrored increases but it might not matter in some patterns and overall the effect of mirrored increases could be insignificant. Which do you think would look better? I have a question about the pattern: Does it start with a round/circle yoke and then change to raglan? I’ve done this before just working without a pattern. I might have to buy this one. A round yoke to start is great for me but not for the entire yoke, I do like changing to raglan increases.

Hi! Im new here, thank you for this wonderful group. I need help with a Shifio’s pattern. It is to form wavey knitting. But Im confused. I have 48 sts on needle with first waves created then to form the next wave it says: Fasten off yarn, leave sts on needle using C3 cast on 96 sts
Row 1: C3 p2tog all along row, fasten off (48 sts)
If leave the 48 sts on needle after fasten them then cast on 96csts? Confused. Please help. Thank you
