Maybe you can copy from the address bar at the top of the screen and then paste it here?
Or maybe just list the name of the pattern, what it is (socks, afghan, sweater, vest, etc) and the name of the company who designed it. Someone else might be able to post it here for you.
Would it help if I type the entire set of instructions?
Vertical eyelet band
Knit 4 rows. Work vertical eyelets:
Next row (RS) K6 turn work
Next row (WS) K6 turn work.
Repeat last 2 rows once more.
Next row: (RS) K6 yo twice, k10, turn work
Next row: (RS) K10, turn work
Next row: K9 k2tog, turn work.
Next row: K10 yo twice, K10, turn work*
Repeat from * to * 4 time more, ending last repeat K11 instead of K10, turn work.
Next row: (RS) K10, k2tog, turn work.
Next row: K11, turn work.
Next row: K10, k2tog, turn work.
Next row: K11, yo twice K10, turn work.
Work from * to* 5 times, ending last repeat K6 turn work.
Next 4 rows: K6 turn work
Knit 5 rows over all stitches. Bind off.
Again this corresponds to the band above all the cables in the pic above.
That does help because it shows you’re working over more than just 6 sts… Lets take the first set of instructions.
Knit 4 rows. Work vertical eyelets:
Next row (RS) K6 turn work
Next row (WS) K6 turn work.
Repeat last 2 rows once more.
I presume the 4 rows are all the sts? Then you k6 for 4 rows.
Next row: (RS) K6 yo twice, k10, turn work
Next row: (RS) K10, turn work
Next row: K9 k2tog, turn work.
Next row: K10 yo twice, K10, turn work*
Next, k6, yo 2, k10 and turn. By making the 2 YOs you have 18 sts, but you only knit 10 of them on the next row.
next row k9, k2 tog - you will have 10 new sts on the needle. One st of the k2tog will be from the sts you haven’t knit yet; it’s a way of joing them.
Turn and k10, yo 2, then knit the next 10.
You’re doing shortrows where you only knit a portion of the sts on the row, leaving the others on the other part of the needle. This is done for shaping.
You continue like this, following the next set of instructions.
Thanks for taking the time to help. AS usual(for me) sometimes I have to stop trying to see the pattern in my head and just work it following the instructions to the letter. It turned out to be a bit of a zig zag pattern. I have now finished the base and I’m working on the i-cord. This is the first time that i have knit a cord and it is so easy and looks so nice that I am very excited. I’m new to this board, but I will post a pic when I’m finished. The pattern calls for felting, but I choose to use a chenille yarn so it will look a little different.
Uh huh, patterns are like that. They work out if you follow along stitch by stitch instead of trying to figure it out in your head. Working with the yarn and needles makes it much easier to see what you need to do,
