The pattern I am using is this: ravelry.com/patterns/library/churchill
I am on the end of the first page (need to now change colour now and move on to the rest of the pattern). I am confused when it says on page 2 at the top to repeat rounds 1-3 four more times but using CC1, you have to do 7 rounds and three rounds of MC and then CC2 etc. I am confused as I read this: does this mean that I repeat rounds 1-3 without thinking about colours so that CC1 would end with round 1 and then so would MC and then end of CC2 round 2 would have four times of 1-3 rounds completed? I am sorry if this is confusing but this is my first time doing mittens. I would appreciate any help.
It may help to write out the sequence of each round in a column (1-12 to start). Next to it write the round numbers repeating 1-3 for the four more times that you need to repeat. In a third column, write the colors which will repeat during these 12 rounds, 7 CC and the 3 MC. Check off the rounds as you work them.
You can continue these columns after the thumb gusset directions are finished (the repeats of rounds 1-3) if it helps to keep track of the color changes.
