Hi. I bought some 4ply cotton wool to knit a jumper for my granddaughter. I’m using a pattern which is 4 ply but wool and as a newcomer to knitting, I’m realising that it’s going horribly wrong!
I found it really hard to find a pattern for 4ply cotton! Can anyone help? Many thanks

Ply is not the most reliable measure of yarn weight. It’s better to compare the gauges (stitches and rows per inch or 10cm) given for the pattern and yarn.
What yarn are you using and what is the name of your pattern and designer?
Hello
I’m sure someone here will be able to help find a pattern for you if you need to change to a more suitable one for the yarn you have.
It’s lovely that you’re knitting for your granddaughter.

Rowan (and associated designers) had many lovely patterns for 4ply cotton and cotton-wool blends. If you have a local library or secondhand book shop, you might find some Rowan pattern collection books.
But before you change horses, can you tell us what’s going wrong with the pattern and yarn combination you are using?
Yes, as @kushami says, we might be able to help you keep on with the original plan. What isn’t working? What pattern was it you wanted to make?
