Pattern Confusion

Good Afternoon, I’ve just found this great site and hope someone can help me?
I am knitting a very plain cardigan for my pending Granchild (excited) and I have come across a very confusing part of what should be a very easy pattern.
The pattern says
Working all raglan armhole decreases as set by back, dec 1st at raglan armhole edge of next 1 row, then on 1 foll 4th row, then on foll 11 alt rows and at same time dec 1st at front slope edge of next and foll 0 alt rows, then on 6 foll 4th rows. 2 sts

Next row (ws) p2
Next row k2tog and fasten off.

I have knitted before and know how to decrease but this has got me confused, especially (then on 6 4th rows).
Could anyone please explain these instructions in an easy way to understand. Sorry to be so dim… Thank you in desperation! Lol x

Hi and welcome!
These directions can be confusing. I like to write them out and the cross them off as I do them.
Call the next row, row 1.
For the raglan armhole decreases, dec on rows 1,5, and then 7,9,11,13,15,17,etc.
For the neck decreases, dec on row 1,5,9,13,17,21, and 25.

Congratulations on the new grandchild. That’s fabulous news.

Thank you, I’ll follow your instructions… I’ll let you know how I get on.
