Hi - first post so hoping I am in the right place/doing it right. I have been a beginner knitter for ages relying on my mum to help out with questions. She recently suddenly passed away. I am attempting to make the glittery xmas shrug she had planned for my sister in time for Xmas, but have got stuck.
It says work 13 rows inc 1st at side edge in 1st and 11th rows (I understand this).
Then it says ‘at same time inc 1st at front edge in next and every following 4th row’.
Does this mean inc in row 1,4,8 and 12 or 1,5,9, and 13?

Very sorry to read about your mother. It’s wonderful to continue her tradition of knitting with this gift. You’ve got it, inc in rows 1,5,9,13.
