Pattern clarification

Hi…l am knitting a sweater that will have a v-neck that will require edging.

I am working each side together with separate balls of yarn. The instructions say…

Work each side of neck separately. Keeping pattern correct dec1 stitch at the end of the 10th row and at the same edge on foll 10th row.

It doesn’t say RS or WS … I am on the WS. Do I dec 1 stitch at the end of the fist part and beg of next part or do I do it on the same side 10 rows later?

The is so much in advance.

The pattern sounds like it’s giving you the instructions for one side first. So yes, dec at the end of the row and at the beginning of the other side (both decreases at the neck edge).
Whatever instruction you’ve just completed, the following 10th row is the dec row and then the 10th row after that. You’ll have decreased 2sts at the right front and left front neck edges.
If it’s easier to do these decreases on a RS row, you can probably do them on the next row.
Can you give us the name of the pattern or a pattern link?

Thank you for responding. The pattern is Moorhouse by Rowan - the link for Ralvery is

Do you have any suggestions as to how to decrease… do I got to the last few stitches and k2tog k1 for the left side and k1 ssk for the right side?

Thank you

Thanks for the link. Very nice looking sweater.
Yes, that dec sounds good to me. It gives you an edge for the collar stitches. Even two sts in from the edges sould work.

thank you very much!! :cheering:

You’re so welcome. You saw the link to errata?

That’s a great pattern. Now that you’ve had your question answered I’d like to ask you one. Is the pattern available online? I couldn’t quite figure that out. I love Rowan patterns but I don’t much like their site. Finding anything there is difficult.

GG - i could only find the correction ( http://www.knitrowan.com/files/addendums/Dalesmen%20-%20Moorhouse%20chart.pdf ) to it on the rowan site. the actual original pattern remains elusive. - X
