Pattern clarification

My last row was:

K1. *K2tog. Rep from * to end of row. 6 sts.

Work 4 rows even. Break yarn leaving a long end. Draw end through rem sts (tab) and fasten securely. Sew centre back seam. with double strand of A, work whip-strick. . . . .

I don’t understand what they mean by “work 4 rows even.” Do I work the last row (above) for 4 rows or what?

I understand that to mean work four rows without any further shaping.

So I just knit the next 4 rows?

Yes. When a pattern says to work rows ‘even,’ it means to work them without any decreases or increases.
