I am hoping someone out there can help me. I am about 2/3 way through the Must Have Cardigan (back, 2 fronts, and 1/3 sleeve completed) and my otherwise wonderful dog has shredded the Street Smart booklet into pieces – and worse still has EATEN the page that I need…
I am at the part where I am increasing the stitches on the sleeve from 42 to 75 St, and know that once I have reached the desired number of stitches I need to maintain pattern until the sleeve is X inches long. I have no idea where to go from here.
Can anyone help me? I need to know how to finish the sleeve for a medium sized sweater – what is the length of sleeve I need to keep in pattern, and what are the decreases after that?
I think I’m ok for the button band – I’m pretty sure I can wing that – but would LOVE to know what I do to finish the sleeve.
Below is a picture of the pattern remains and T-Bone, who clearly has no memory of his little rampage. (Though while I was looking at this picture, he gently reached out to steal one of the pieces…)
BTW, cherish that, because when he’s gone you’ll always remember him! ;o) My hubby taught me that when my first dog (adopted with him when we started dating) chewed up a new pen. And boy is he right! I cherish it now.
It may sound silly, if so, I’m guilty of loving my dogs!
If so, you might contact the publisher, Rico Designs. It looks like it was published in a booklet called Rico Organic (or RicoOrganic), so you might google that.
BTW, Patons has a similar pattern which is basically the same but with a leaf design inside the large cables. I LOVE leaf designs Leaf Panel Cardigan. Also free, but you need to login to the Patons site to get it.
