Iām making my brother a hat
and part of the pattern looks like this
Rnd 1: *k2, p2tog; rep from * - 36 sts
Rnd 2: *k2, p1; rep from *
Rnds 3 & 4: Rep Rnd 2
Rnd 5: *k2tog, p1; rep from * - 24 sts
Rnd 6: *k1, p1; rep from *
Rnd 7: *k1, k2tog; rep from * - 16 sts
Rnd 8: k Rnd 9: k2tog around - 8 sts
I get everything else, but the the - 16 sts is throwing me off
