Can anyone help me find a pattern to make a handle cover for a cast iron pan?
I’ve looked and looked with no luck.

You could probably come up with a pattern pretty easily. I have a handle cover which is like a pot-holder fabric (thick terry). I’d knit a square (something about dishcloth sized or a little larger), felt it for more heat protection, fold it in half, and sew up 2 sides. Primarily, you want to make sure it’s really really densely knit and/or felted to protect your hands.
Ok, so can you only felt 100% wool yarn?
I used to have one but can’t find it…will keep looking
OK, found it but it isn’t free
. It is on the site e-patternscentral.com
I tried googleing and checked out several sites for free onesto no avail. Good Luck!
Yes, you can only felt 100% wool yarn. There are some medium-priced yarns (Lion Brand) that are 100% wool, too, so you don’t necessarily have to have super expensive yarn.
