My husband was at the kitchen sink this morning…and guess who came to the window?? Our Saint Bernard, Charlie!
Can you guess what he wanted??? (with his stainless steel chow bowl!)
Oh My God. That is beyond hilarious!!! What a beautiful, excuse me, handsome boy you have there…
Charlie the chow hound! He loves his bowl, and will often carry it around the yard after he’s eaten everything up! He will also take it inside his dog house. He is a nut! This was taken one evening after their dinner in January or so. The boys can’t play together anymore after the February Fight. The boy hound dog started the BIG FIGHT, but Charlie won. Both boys are okay now. They just can’t intermingle unattended.
This is the first time he’s brought it to the kitchen window. He usually eats in the evening, but I guess he was hungry early on this day!
John picks up the empty bowls, but last night, Charlie must have ditched his bowl in his dog house, and John just didn’t think about bringing it in!
Charlie always waits at the kitchen window when I’m preparing chow. I like to bang on the metal with my wooden spoon just to get him to drooling! He can see straight in. If the window’s open, I can reach out and pet the top of his noggin!
I love that dog!
Funny boy!
Oh my gosh, he’s so cute! He makes me want to nuzzle right into his fur and give him a kiss.
:roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard:
That is both hilarious and adorable!! What a beauty he is!!
Oh my gosh! That is too funny!!! What a great picture!
He’s beautiful and funny! Poor guy, he looks like he’s starving.:teehee:
Totally underfed! :roflhard:
Awwww…so cute. I love dogs. The bigger the better, too.
What a great picture, he seems to be Mr. Personality and has the size to insert himself as the center of attention.
That lil’ ol’ hound dog started the fight? My goodness, what a silly thing to do!
That look on his face is so funny! It’s like he’s thinking, “Come on, man! Where’s the food?” He’s so pretty! I missed the story about the 2 dogs fighting though. I can’t imagine that would be an easy fight to break up.
We couldn’t break it up. Blue was 80lbs at the time, Charlie was 180lbs. With such power, we just couldn’t hold them back. Both boys were determined to be the last man standing. There were 4 rounds within minutes, and they quit cuz they wore themselves out. One time Blue ran into the BIG doghouse to get away from Charlie, but Charlie ran in after him and attacked him against the back wall. It was really awful. Of course we did everything wrong. We were hollering and shouting, and the Dog Whisperer says that is ALL WRONG. John even pepper sprayed them, and although that broke up round two, the pain of it might have agitated them even more cuz they went back for two more rounds!
how funny…thanks for sharing!!!
Artlady, your dawgs are adorable!!! I have one like that too, it’s the comedian & chowhounds that always carry their bowls around. I have to give her a plastic bowl so she can pick it up. :D…except for the water bowl, she purposely empties those as soon as I fill them and then the dogs have no water:teehee: so I switched to ceramic…however…your adorable guy looks like he could pick ANY bowl he wanted up off the floor.
Oh you know how much I love Shih Tzu’s! You are so lucky to have had so many Shih Tzu’s in your life! And they are lucky to have had YOU in theirs!
This photo of your baby is sooo darn cute!
Yes, Charlie’s bowl is stainless steel, not exactly lightweight! He can pick up any darn thing he sets his mind to! TeeHee!
Omigosh that made my day! Arielluria, your little one is is hysterical too!
Ah yes, the case of the same sex fighting. You just never know, dogs can live together for years and then one day the big fight and they can never be left alone to their own devices. Kudos to you for keeping the peace, it isn’t easy.
My boy Cyrus used to carry his dog bed around like that…big ol’ goofball thought it was a stuffy toy! Come to think of it, Cyrus was put up for adoption because of same sex aggression. Two male Rotts fighting, EEEEK! Keeping them apart was too much for his former owners and he was the newer dog so he had to go.
Right into my arms. Gee whiz I miss him.
Awesome! Now go out there and adopt (click on petfinder link below)!!!
