I am in love with whales and dolphins, growing up on the Gulf Coast you become that way, so one year for Christmas my boys bought me a kit so I could adopt a Humpback Whale. I cried!! I loved that gift!
What is your ritual when you come home from work (or school, or after running errands all day for you wonderfully lucky folks who get to stay at home)?
i love the purple, white, yellow/red and Night Queen tulips, purple, peach, yellow, red roses, and most color iris! why… no particular reason. i’m not a flower kind of girl, but i like those a lot.
I’m not a cell phone person, (I have one, I just don’t use it much) but we had to buy a new phone for the house, and you could customize the ringtones on it!! :roflhard: Cracked me up, so I went through and set them all… all of my family rings to Old Macdonald (don’t know why, just seemed fitting at the time) and all of DH’s family rings to what sounds like an alarm going off (which is sooo appropriate :roflhard: ) DH has two - if he’s calling me from work, it’s ‘Let Me Call You Sweetheart’, and if he’s calling from his cell, it’s ‘When Irish Eyes Are Smiling’.
What’s the strangest food you’ve ever eaten?? How was it??
Fried Pickles!! YUMMY!!! I loves me some fried pickles. They are soooooo delicious with that honey mustard dipping sauce that the restaurant serves w/ them.
Next Question
Have you had fried pickles? If yes, do you like them? If no, would you try them?
:roflhard: I think EVERYONE dislikes seaming. I’ve had sweaters sit around for months waiting for seams. But once I learned to do them well, I don’t mind them as much. When I used to just sew them, they were lumpy and ruined all my nice knitting. Now with mattress stitch, I like the way the end product looks. But I still resent having to do it! Won’t do anything with a zipper, either.
Now I have to think of a question.
Now that you knit, do you bother polishing your nails? (All that drying time!)
I always keep my toes polished, and occasionally keep my fingers polished. Usually if I have a function to attend, they are polished, and I usually get them done then, so the time is spent at the salon, under the dryer, much quicker.
How do you blow off steam when someone annoys you?
Depends where I am… but when I’m tense or need to release pent-up emotions, I go for a run/bike. If at work, retreat to another area and breathe deeply.
Choclate. I know I shouldn’t, but it’s just so dang good… And DH is an enabler in my addiction, he took me to Hershey for Mother’s Day and bought me a GIANT thing of Kisses … AND a chocolate greeting card (which is almost a pound of chocolate in a big slab ) … I managed to ration rather than gorge, and we still have some kisses and about 1/5 of the giant block o chocolate left… almost 5 months later
If you had the money, what would be your ideal home??
2 scarves, evil DK checkerboard, and… is that it?? Yup - for now, anyway… I just (less than an hour ago!! :happydance: ) got my Needlemaster set, so I am gonna be a knitting fool as soon as I start playing with it…
I took my grandsons to see the alpacas that belong to my friend. They ran around with them and we also saw and petted the horses, pony and an very fluffy angora rabbit. They had a great time. I also gave my friend the knitted alpaca purse I made for her. She loved it and I assured her that she wouldn’t have to use it. :rofling:
Washing dishes, the soap is so hard on my hands…so, now that my boys are old enough, they get to do them. They have it easy though, we have a dishwasher so every other week they load and unload.
What do you have more of on your walls, paintings, or family photos?
