I need your help. It’s really silly actually but since I lack the brain power to come up with themes for a party, I thought I would turn to my knitting buddies.
I am hosting my Bunco group at my house next month and need to come up with a theme (mainly for the boobie prize). We have food, so I usually just do a “general” potluck. There are 12 of us. I just have to supply soda, plates and utensils. However, I need to come up with a theme for the boobie prize (the loser gets the prize basket) the winners get $$. The themes we have done are gardening, books, inspirational, make me laugh, entertain me, etc. This month we are doing items that you will need while attending our annual festival. I would like to come up with something different (that is where your help comes in). The prize is to be $5 or under (usually a little more is ok). Each guest is to bring a prize for the basket. The group is mainly women between 45-50 (there are only 2 youngin’s under 40). Any suggestions?
okay wait… i don’t get it. you said they are things you would need at the festival? isn’t that the theme? (it may be too early for me to process this kinda thing…lol) What kind of festival is it?
I went to a ‘blast from the past’ bunco party a few weeks ago with my mom. The boobies prizes were things that remind the ladies of their childhood. I brought a slinky. The bag ended up being filled with jacks, fittlesticks and bubblegum etc. It was fun!
Other themes they have done are for the kitchen, relaxing, and seasonal holidays (Mayday, April Fools)
At actually the festival theme is this month (which I find totally silly). It’s the Rhododendron Festival, it’s the 100th anniversary. It’s a big three day event where a bunch of bikers invade the town. Flowers and bikers who would ever thought, huh? Plus we have a parade, car show, carnival, arts and crafts and a pageant.
Luckily for me I live out of city limits in a cave so I don’t have to deal with the traffic and crowds.
