Ot--need prayers

Oh, hon, I’m so sorry. You and yours are in my thoughts.

Warm hugs and huge prayers are going to come from me. When I hear of such things, I do my best prayin’ when I lay my head down for the night.
I hope and wish for the best outcome and for the most strength possible for your mom and your whole family!

Take care and travel safely!

    I hope whatever happens, happens for the best. Your family is in my thoughts

And I know I’ve been plugging this a lot, but whenever you get some time to yourself, I suggest planning a day at a spa or going to a massage therapist to get out some of that tension and anxiety …It really helps.

{{{HUGS}}} and lots of love Joyce.

Lauren and HH…I appreciate your offers to help and if I knew of anything, other than prayers, that would help, I would let you know…it is difficult being almost 3 hours away from your Mom in this situation, but at least I can be there in 3 hours and stay if necessary.

ALL of you are so kind and your support really helps. Although we don’t personally know each other, I told another member through PM that I have been a member of KH almost since its beginning and I really feel like we have a connection…maybe it’s the kindness and helpfulness we’ve all shared through KH, but I feel that you are all here for me in some way.

I’ve decided to leave for my Mom’s house tomorrow morning and we will talk to her and let her know that the doctor has found something on her spine…then, we’ll go from there. The dr will do a procedure called balloon kyphoplasty on Friday at 2:30 and plans to do a biopsy at the same time, so I suppose we’ll know more after the procedure.

Thanks again,

Joyce

Prayers and God’s Wonderful Healing Power and Grace thru Jesus Christ to You and your Mother. You are in my prayers and thoughts.

Joyce, you and your mother are in my prayers. Having gone through a similar experience with my mother, I know what you are feeling.

I was amazed at the strength my Mom showed. I hope your Mom is pro-active and involved in the choices that are ahead for her.

Remember to be good to yourself. Something as simple as sitting in a corner and just breathing can renew your spirit.

Special prayers and strength are being sent for you, your mom and family.

Joyce –

Prayers going up for you and your Mom!! Like you, I have seen some of the most awesome things come from the power of prayer!!

Oddly enough, I was reading an article LAST NIGHT about balloon kyphoplasty, and it’s supposed to be a fantastic procedure for relieving pain.

Blessings to you and your family – give your Mom a gentle hug for me!!

I’m so sorry, you and your Mom are in my prayers.

Chloe

You will be in my prayers-have a safe trip and God bless you.

Joyce, I’m so sorry. I’m praying for health and longevity for your mom, Joyce. Safe trip to you. May you be granted serenity and peace throughout this.
hugs Amy

Joyce,

I am so sorry your mom is going through this… your mom, you and your whole family are in my prayers. Ill lit up candles for you all tonight.

((((((HUGS))))))

Joyce, I’m so sorry to hear about your Mom!! :frowning: I am close to my mom–she is 91, and believe me, I can’t imagine NOT having her with me. Certainly I’ll say a prayer for your mother and for God to give you the strength you and your family need in this time. I know that she can be healed–I’ve seen too many miracles , and have experienced one myself–prayer and faith can produce many great things!!

I know she is going to be glad to see you tomorrow, and I will be thinking of you as I knit tomorrow!!

You are all treasures  I’m posting from my Mom’s house…it has been a long day! She took the news much better than the rest of us did…she is one tough lady…of course, she’d have to be since she’s been walking around with a tumor and a crack on the spine without alot of complaints, right?

The doctor has postponed the procedure scheduled for tomorrow because he wants to do a consultation with her before doing it so, she and I will be in Raleigh at 3 p.m We talked with her family doctor late today who had discussed her case with the orthopedic doctor and he recommends an appointment with the onocologist prior to have the procedure so steps to shrink the tumor can be taken in order for the procedure to work. We’ll know more after the consultation tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the doctor also said that although the MRI showed a “possible” spot on the liver, blood work is usually haywire if there is a problem with the liver and the liver labs done on Mom a couple of months ago were excellent…so, that sounds like good news

Thank you all for your kind words, thoughts and prayers…I’m going to work a little on my niece’s baby blanket for a while before falling out

I’ll keep you posted…Joyce

thanks for the update! Still praying!

Thanks Hilde…I had signed up for a needle felting class this coming Saturday, but had to cancel…they will offer it again soon…your clog embellishments have intrigued me…I’d love to make something for Dawson with a frog needle felted…anyway…you all will never know how much I appreciate your support right now because this has really been a difficult time for me…somehow though, I began to feel some peace after reading your posts… Bless you all.

Joyce

Still praying, Joyce…
