OT: Insane Weather

So here I am in New England, where we’ve been enduring Mother Nature’s manic depressive cycle this winter. One day it’s 59 degrees, the next it’s 18. We’ve had snow, hail, ice, buckets of rain, tropical and hurricane level winds - basically she’s throwing everything at us but the frogs. It is the weirdest weather I’ve witnessed in my lifetime, and I remember the Blizzard of '78.

To cheer himself up in the face of such meteorological madness, my husband found Carl Schaad’s Calamity Chart which I would like to share with everyone. Carl works for Accuweather.com as Creative Director and is also in charge of the Weird Humor & Sarcasm Division.

Personally, I think more media outlets need a Sarcasm Division, but maybe I’m just odd.

So anyway, this site made me laugh my head off, so hopefully some of you prone to sick & twisted humor will get a chuckle out of it too.

:roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard:

oh wiping tears from eyes that was hilar!!! oh my tummy hurts now!

I love the apocolytpic one with certain on-air personalities “namely Anderson Cooper” …ain’t that the truth?! :roflhard:

Hey Wynnie, I’ve been enjoying the manic weather with you. We had unbelievable winds/torrential rains yesterday, and my area looks like a war zone. Temps yesterday went from a balmy 55 to 35 in 2 hours  All of the Boston networks need to adopt a Sarcasm Department, although I think Pete Bouchard gets close! Thanks for the link. It was a hoot! The frogs can’t be too far behind, can they???

One of my other favorite entries of his blog is “Every Time Carl Shops, a Volcano Explodes”.

This man is like The Daily Show of weathermen. So awesome.

You want the frogs? We got 'em here, we’re done with them now…

:roflhard:

Level 10: Poor - Several Really Nice Trees have been defoliated, everything is wet, some mailboxes were lost. A car is parked by the roadside, obviously abandoned. It’s an Audi. It’s sorta wet.

for some reason that totally made me ROFL :roflhard:

This reminds me of a picture a friend sent me he found on the internet of a horrible storm that swept through Phoenix… and it was of a plastic lawn chair laying on its side on a wet patio.
:roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard:
