Yesterday was my one year anniversary with my wonderful boyfriend. We took the day off of work and went out to a matinee and perused the mall and just had a wonderful day off anniversary. When we got home he stopped me at the foot of our staircase, where we had shared our first kiss, and got down on one knee and proposed. It was so incredibly romantic and sweet, and totally “us”. The ring is perfect. White opal with 2 diamond accents. I can’t believe I am really engaged!!

I love opals too. They have been my favourite gem since I was 6 and was flipping through a catalogue. My mom was always saying they are bland and bad luck. But I just love the fire in them.
