Hildie, o Goddess of Bare Escentuals, do you know anything about their RareMinerals Skin Revival Treatment? I have to say, I’m thoroughly confused by the concept of a powdery mineral thing you put on at night (plus the fact that it comes in four shades… for sleeping in? :?? ). Wouldn’t it get all over your pillow? Does it somehow moisturize?
It’s damn expensive, so I was just curious…
I bought Bare Escentuals thru their infomercial which I think is the BEST way to pay less for it. I liked it. Then over time I got a lot of the “extras” thru QVC.
After using it for two years I got bored with it and have gone back to a nice cream foundation. I gave it all to my daughter. The best thing about was that they last forever!!! You really only have to use a tiny bit of the eye shadows, blushes etc. Mine had expiration dates good only for one year. That did not go for very :crying: long. I wasn’t happy with that part. There is NO way I could use up all of that in one year. So maybe they should make them in smaller amounts and charge LESS which would be nice.
I am blessed to have good skin and no matter what makeup I’ve worn over the years I’ve always gotten compliments on how nice my skin is. Must be good genes!!! :lol:
MKS-- I haven’t seen any Bare Minerals around here. If I find some, I’ll let you know. BTW, I love your hint to your secret pal in the KAL thread!

I didn’t think that there would be any stores that carried that line of make-up. Oh well, maybe one day I’ll try some.
Karen, I’ve never tried the rare minerals… it’s brand new, and didn’t look like something I needed/wanted to spend $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ on… I do use the Skin Revver-upper, and that’s great.

I got some of the skin revver upper when I bought my starter kit from Sephora. I used it twice, and then stuck with my Olay Regenerist Moisturizer. It’s not bad at all, but I have sensitive, oily skin, and I live in fear that any change will break me out. I’m 26 and finally don’t look like the floor of a mechanic’s shop, so I am not going to start experimenting.
If anyone wants it, they can have it. I really will never use it.

As I promised… I have received word from my mother on the Rare Minerals. She has the “clear” version of the product, but says that she notices a luminous sheen when its applied. She said it does not rub off onto her pillow. And she has noticed her roseacea is less red in the morning. Other than that, she hasn’t noticed much else. And my guess from the sound of her opinions is that she wouldn’t buy it again.
