I organized my wool/sock yarn stash today. Put skeins in zip-lock bags (Target generic.)
I keep my stash in lock top bins…
How do you hide (lol) your stash? Bins? Shelves? Vacuum bags?
Is it sad my sock/wool fits in three 20 gal plus a couple of ten or so gallon?
I have a lot of acrylic (a lot was given to me.) That’s in like three gallon bins I think (a friend destashed a crapload of acrylic to me two years ago, slowly using it up!)
I have cube shelves with fabric drawers I have like over 30 drawers full of yarn. Then I have those xxxl ziplocks full of yarn. I can fill a yarn store lol
I have stash in a closed closet, closed cabinet, and multiple bags. Eek! I need to get on this!
I forgot to say my COTTON yarns are in the 10 gallon bins.
I amalgamated my cotton stash into a 20 gallon bin, bagged it up. Freed up two smaller bins - using those for project bags, beads, stitch markers, interchangeable needles/hooks blah blah. Put my pretty bamboo straight needles into a heavy/pretty mug on our dresser.

My best yarn stash is in our closet. My huge stash of acrylic is binned in the basement. I also have a quantity of odd ribbon yarn someone gave me. I really need to use it for something!
You’d better get knitting! :lol: Looks organized though! It’s hard when you have a lot! 
I actually feel that my stash of non- acrylic is pitiful. The sock yarn bin isn’t even full.
Don’t feel so bad I don’t have any sock yarns.

I am just now getting into making socks. I just bought some chroma yarn from KP. Worsted weight first then once I get the hang of making socks I will go for the sock yarns.
Try Joann’s, too. They carry sock yarns for a good price, I think.
I only have one Joann’s by me and they don’t carry much yarn at all. I would have to order online.
I have a Jo’s about five miles away (and miguel’s about 3 miles.) My 2 year old is a terrorist and thus, going to a craft store frankly, stinks! I almost always shop at Jo’s online instead. Be sure to check www.retailmenot.com for coupons!
JoAnn frequently has their yarn on sale and sometimes you can get free shipping. I’ve had trouble with their coupon codes not working right so watch out for that. I actually like LB SockEase yarn.
I stow all my yarn in these zippered vinyl project bags. I use two sizes for yarn. This yarn below is stowed in a yarn cupboard made from a kit we got at Home Depot. But, I’ve got just as much yarn stowed in a big wicker trunk, and more yarn stowed in my knitting room. Yeah, you guessed it…my yarn condition is SABLE. These photos were taken 4 years ago…and my DESTASH efforts have really helped! 2012 and 2013 have been my best years for knitting only from stash! 
As I look at these photos below, I can readily identify the bags of yarn that are knit up and out of the ‘closet’! LOL
Here is a small project bag, and it’s holding 14 balls of grey yarn! They’re aran weight, too!
You can really cram a lot in the smallest size!
