Ordering Yarn Online

Hello Everyone
I have never ordered yarn online. The only yarn I have bought so far is from WalMart, Michaels and Zellers… hehehhe
Just wondering what are good/safe sites to order yarn.
Anything I should be aware of befor ordering yarn online?
And sites that ship to Canada would be a plus too !!!

Our own dear Kemp has a store online, Diva Knitting - its good and she is reliable =D

Knit picks and Webs are also reliable :slight_smile:

I’ve had great luch ordering from Herrschner’s and they do have a Canadian site too.

I’ve also ordered from littleknits.com and they have on their website they ship worldwide… :happydance:

Elann is canadian, so as yarnforward http://yarnforward.com/ca/index.html, Ramwools http://www.ramwools.com/ , and wool-tyme http://www.wool-tyme.com/ . Knitpicks can ship from Canada but the shipping fees are higher for Canada than for the US, and they take 10% for GST and duty. Be careful with stores that are based in the US, they can’t always guarantee what will happen at the customs, and often the shipping costs end up being on the high side. Often I find it’s not really a deal anymore. Not to mention that the prices are in USD, the exchange rate you get on a credit card isn’t necessarily the best one, and usually they impose a fee, too.
