Where do you go to shop for knitting items online? Do you use national sites or the website of your LYS?

I’m looking to get some “supplies” and wonder where you ladies/men go!

I most frequently use www.elann.com. Their service is great, their prices are excellent, and shipping is usually pretty fast.

I also like Knitpicks (www.knitpicks.com), and Webs. (www.yarn.com). Webs has some excellent deals on their closeouts.

I’ve bought from Knitpicks, Elann, Yarn Country, Universal Yarn, One Fine Yarn, and Paradise Fibers.

I was pleased with them all and all but Knitpicks shipped quickly.

I’ve bought from most of the above but also really like JimmyBeans wool and for dishcloth cotton I like Peaches and Creme.

I like Elann too, their prices are really reasonable and they ship quickly.

I tend to get yarn where ever I can to do a project but Smiley’s Yarn (based in NY) has some great deals on yarns. Sometimes the choice of colors are limited.
When you can get a yarn that normally sells for $4.99 or $5.99 for $1.99 or even $2.50 it’s nice.
They do have a minimum order of $50.00.

Thanks for all the sites! I’m checking each one out. Some seem to have great yarn but lack in the supplies department, so i think i will mix and match! Any more sites about knitting would be great, pattern sites etc.
