I thought it would be fun to occasionaly post a pix of my "art for chiidren series ~on my blog, especially when knitting is going slow. I sell name plaques, painting and do lots of murals locally. Although market is rather slow after Katrina~ I have high hopes that as we rebuild the need for good quality work for children will flourish once again.

No, I’ve never illustrated before, but wouldn’t that be fun! My work in college (undergrad) was mostly figurative painting, in grad school it was abstract (plant life).
I got started creating the children’s work right before my son was born–he has a 5ft. x 5ft. painting of beatrix potter. I’ll be changing it out in the near future since he is now almost 3. But, am still a little stumped as to what to do for his room…too many options circling in my head :rofling: .

I’ve put up new work since I last posted. I have been unable to knit–under the weather due to rls. Beginning to fill better–so, I hope to post soon— some knitting, and other crafts/art that I do.
