Oh jeez haha

So The other day I mentioned that i couldn’t find 3 of 4 of my size 8 dpns. I just tore my desk apart looking for them, I wracked my brain to figure out how I used them last and then it hit me–DUH! I was using them to make bowling pins for my nephew! The needles are still securely in the WIP and they were in my knitting bag.

 Gosh, I’m a bright one:sun:

That’s okay, tonight I wanted to knit while cooking dinner, so I dragged my knitting into the kitchen. Then I called out to the kids to see if one of them could bring me the dpn that I left by the couch. For 10 minutes we crawled all over the living room looking for the “lost” dpn, when I realized it was stuck firmly in the knitting as I was in the middle of a row when I took everything to the kitchen with me.

oh good! I thought it was just me:aww: .

I think that my favorite was when I was babysitting my nephew and he asked me to get out a pan so he could “play drums.” I gave him a pan and went back to my knitting only to find that my needles size 17 were missing. I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how I could manage to lose such giant needles. I searched and searched but couldn’t find it. Eventually the sound of Carter banging on the pan got to me, so I asked him if he wanted to bang on a cardboard box instead (sooo much less noise haha). He asked why and I said that it was because I had a headache. He looked up at me with his big eyes and said, “aunt Sawah want her drumsticks back?” as he pulled out the needles from behind his back.

Apparently my mom had let him use my needles as drumsticks while I was gone for the summer so he assumed that that was what they were for!
