Seven years ago, something amazing got started right here in the Knitting Help Forum. 
On Feb 21, 2007, I posted a comment here in the Charity Forum, asking if anyone would like to work on a charity blanket with me - taking turns, leaving the blanket on the same knitting needles as it traveled from home to home.
The idea was a huge hit, and soon had over 200 knitters and crocheters involved all over the US and Canada. (There were even some folks in England who got involved.)
Eventually, we modified our idea to only include pet snuggles and baby blankets, since the postage was less expensive with those projects. The blankets and snuggles are still being made today!
