I would love to do Hard Candies!
I’m SO SOO sorry for the confusion! I changed it because I use Howdovely for everything EXCEPT this site - and it was confusing ME! haha. When I first joined two years ago, beekaync was my main screenname for everything. I have since switched mostly everything to using Howdovely, simply to make my life a little easier. That whole remembering a billion different usernames and passwords is TOUGH!!
Howdovely comes from raising White Doves. An associate of mine, when he found out I did that for display at weddings, said, “Oh, how dovely!” (Get it? Instead of “Oh, how lovely!”) And it stuck.
FYI - I’ll be out of town Apr 24-May 1 (missions trip to Dominican Republic!). If Firetruck Lane gets to me while I’m gone, go ahead and send it and I’ll get to work on it as soon as I get back.
I haven’t signed up for any more blankets because of this trip and a possible move this summer. Hopefully I’ll be able to get more involved again in a few weeks.

Let the record show that I requested hand-spun yarn, since Beth is an aspiring yarn spinner. The fact that it’s hand-dyed and sock yarn will be icing on the cake!

I am the knitter after you on Firetruck Lane. So if the blanket is ready while you are going to be gone, Sandy can arrange to have it sent to me, and I can then send it on to you when I finish. That way, you don’t have to worry about the blanket being held at the post office. How does that sound?

I have a few more days of vacation and wanted to start a worsted weight Oddball Baby Blanket. I was thinking it could be called “Melon Medley” and done in the colors found in melons: pinkish/red for watermelon, light green for honeydew melon, orange/yellow/beige for cantaloupe, etc. I have some great watermelon colored yarn and a size 8 round needle for the project. Would this work? :think:
