Not sure where this belongs...question for y'all

Hey All:

Just a question…on my pattern for my poor hat (I finished one that definitely ISN"T going anywhere!! I had to rip it out and somehow ended up with and extra stitch and now just looks really wonky!! but I digress…) it says for rows 6-? 5 to garter stitch for 4 inches (after doing 5 rows of k2 p2 ribbing). Does that mean I measure from the ribbing or the beginning of the hat?

i think it means just the garter stitch part. ussually if it wanted the ribbing included it would say so.

it seems to me to be wayyyy to big for a preemie…esp in the hosp…but I haven’t finished it yet…it’s still flat…so I guess we will have to see.

Here’s info on head sizes for babies, including premies, and including “height”, which might help give you a sense if it’s too big.
