Hi everyone. I could use some help.
I’m in the Fremont (Newark) area and I can’t seem to find any LYS. Does anyone know of one in the area or at least somewhat close? I am willing to travel a bit. My only options right now are Michael’s and well Walmart lol. I think having a LYS right dwn the street from my last residence spoiled me a bit :oops:

I’m in Fremont also! I order most of my yarn online, but I’ve been told there is a great yarn shop in Pleasanton. I’ve not been there yet (been meaning to go), so I’m not sure exactly where it is located.

Whereabouts in Fremont are you? (If you don’t mind my asking) I am in Newark and I really don’t know much of the area.
I’m in the Irvington district (south Fremont). How do you like California so far? I’ve only lived here about a year myself, but I love it. Pretty much everything is close by – from mountains to ocean, big cities to quaint little towns. And, the weather is hard to beat!
The only thing missing is a yarn shop in Fremont! LOL.

Amber - I love it out here. Very much enjoying the weather especially since I just moved from Hot Arizona lol. I think it is just beautiful! I don’t know my way around all that well as yet, but I sure am enjoying it. I think I know where the Irvington District is… not that far! Did you move from within CA or from elsewhere?

Aello – We moved here from Dallas, Texas. I’m not originally from Texas, but my dh had a job there. I also lived in southern New Mexico for 5 years, so I know what you mean about the heat!
You know, there is a knitting/crochet group that meets every week (Thursdays, I think) in Fremont. I have a couple of friends that go to that and say it is nice. I haven’t gone yet b/c I have a 7 mo baby and it’s hard to get away in the evenings. But, when he is older, I plan on attending. Anyway, if you’re interested, pm me and I’ll get more info. for you about where and what time they meet.
