Hi - Can anyone tell me what size wool is equivalent to the Northcountry wool used for the Northcountry baby socks pattern and video?
I’ve got 4ply, DK and a bit of aran weight that I want to use up - which do you reckon would be best?
Cheers

It looks like it’s North Country Cotton from Cherry Tree Hill Yarns, a worsted weight.
Hi - thanks for your reply. I’m going to sound v daft now but I’m not sure what worsted weight is. I’m writing from the UK and haven’t heard of that so am wondering if we use a different term for it over here? I’m a new knitter so I’m still on the learning curve.
Worsted is a heavier than DK, but lighter than aran.
I always think of worsted as ‘regular old yarn’ because you find the most in that weight.
Here is a chart.
