Came home from work today to find my package from Ebay had arrived…3 beautiful balls of Noro Kureyon (#215–a new color this year)…is it wrong that I could hardly get in the door before I dropped everything and ran for my 10.5 Options so I could cast on for my first Booga bag??? :roflhard:
What a great color… Booga bags are addictive - they are so much fun to make and everyone loves them. I have made 7 or 8 of them so far! Have fun with your Booga bag.
So far, so good…I got about 10 rows of the base done last night. It’s definitely going to knit up quickly! The yarn itself is a bit scratchy but the colors are gorgeous and I love how they fade from one to the next. My husband does NOT understand the obsession…ha ha ha.
After you felt it it will no longer be scratchy. One more tip for after you felt it - it will probably be fuzzy so just take a disposable shaver and “shave” it. No more fuzz!
So far, so good! I am finished with the base and am now working my way slowly but surely up the sides. I’ll post pics later this week when I can dig out my camera. It took me a while to figure out how to pick up the stitches along the sides, and I was worried about bending my Options too tight, but I just scrunched the stitches along the cable and worked it out. The colorway is coming out beautifully so far and I am so excited to finish this one as soon as possible!
Oh, and the pattern said “pick up and knit twisted” but I just picked up like normal and kept knitting. Is it ok that I didn’t do the “twisted” part?
