No seaming

Is there a way to do this pattern without having to seam it?

I seriously am bad at seaming and I have made a few but had to get someone else to do it for me (which is getting expensive)
PLUS, for the fin, if you do it with smaller needles, the tail ends up being wider than necessary, so how do I correct that?

This pattern is written to be worked in the round so there’s no seaming tor the body. The only seam is joining the tail to the body.
For the tailfin, you could knit a smaller size. If you’re making the adult size, work the child size fin. If you can’t do that, experiment with casting on fewer sts and working fewer short rows until you get the size you want.
